  This case study explores the philosophical implications of the motor vehicle as a key representative of a “gateway locale.” A gateway locale, in this context, refers to a space that facilitates transition and access, both spatial and existential, allowing for movement across boundaries that are typically imposed by geography, society, and systems of power.
