Unlimited Passage and the Motor Vehicle as Gateway Locale

  This case study explores the philosophical implications of the motor vehicle as a key representative of a “gateway locale.” A gateway locale, in this context, refers to a space that facilitates transition and access, both spatial and existential, allowing for movement across boundaries that are typically imposed by geography, society, and systems of power. Arriving for the sole expression of this constitution, it made headway in its own territory, which had compelled the global front to follow its tracks. The spatial distance between differing points is most effective in portraying the capability and ability to transgress those limitations, through a power device which can carry an individual to any point, at any moment, in whatever capacity.
